Played tennis for Tulane University.
Top 500 ATP ranking.
Senior U.S. National Rankings #2 doubles and #3 singles.
Men's 35 U.S. Clay Court Doubles Finalist 1991.
Men's 40 U.S. Clay Court Singles Finalist 1996.
Named "2001 USPTA Southern Men's 45 Player of the Year" and "2003 Tennis Family of the Year" by the New Orleans Tennis Association.
Men's head coach at Tulane University 1998, 1999.
Owner & General Manager of the West End Tennis & Fitness Club in New Orleans from 1999 to 2005.
         

 

John Sruk

John is a native of Melbourne, Australia.
Top 10 junior in Australia. Competed in the Australian Open Junior Championships and was a Quarter finalist in the 14's, 16's and 18's divisions.
LSU men's team including the SEC championship team, which went to the NCAA Final Four. John graduated from LSU in Accounting and has been a member of the Bocage Tennis staff since 2002.
         

 

Lisa Jackson

Lisa is from Johannesburg, South Africa where she finished in the top 10 in juniors.
Collegiate Highlights:
William Carey College in Gulfport, Mississippi selected team MVP and NAIA 2nd team All-American.
University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) - top 30 national ranking in doubles, two-time recipient of the Southland Conference Player of the Year, team won three Southland Conference Championships. Lisa earned a BS and MS in Psychology with Magma cum Laude honors.
Coaching Highlights -
Graduate Assistant at University of Texas at Arlington.
Associate Head Coach at University Louisiana Lafayette - Ragin’ Cajuns improve from a 1-13 to 10-9 in her second season.
LSU Assistant Coach - Tigers go to four NCAA tournament appearances and ranked 16 in the country.
2007 ITA Southwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
2012 Head Coach at University Alabama Birmingham Blazers earn best record since 2007 in her first season.
2014 Program Director of Tennis and Healthy Lifestyles at the YMCA Americana developing junior and adult tennis programs.
         

 

Matt Shoptaugh

Matt was ranked 1 and 2 in as a junior in Louisiana in the 12s, 14s, and 16s. Top 5 Southern player in 12s and top 10 in 14s. Represented Louisiana and the South in the Junior Zonals and Davis cup tournaments. Competed in many State, Southern, and National tournaments as a junior. Graduated from Oxford Academy in Westbrook Connecticut in 2005. Played #1 singles and Doubles for Division I Centenary College in Shreveport, La. Matt also made the dean’s list and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2010. Matt spent two years coaching at the YMCA under Johnny Wahlborg in an elite junior program and following that was the Assistant Pro at the Baton Rouge Country Club under Jason Noonan. Matt is a USPTA certified Elite Professional and is one of our traveling coaches for our junior tournament players.
         
   

CHRISSY URIARTE

Chrissy is from Las Vegas, NV. She played Division I tennis at Eastern Washington University and graduated with a BS in Exercise Science. Chrissy just finished a strength and conditioning internship at LSU and is also a Certified Personal Trainer.
Collegiate: Played number 1 doubles and number 2 singles and was a member of  the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Junior tennis: Nationally ranked top 50 in the 14's and 16's and top 100 in the 18's. Achieved her highest national ranking of #44 after competing in the Copper Bowl, Easter Bowl, the Junior Orange Bowl International Championships and the USTA National Open Championships. Sectionally ranked top 3 in the 14's-18's for Intermountain. Was simultaneously ranked #1 in the 14's and #2 in the 16's. Represented Intermountain two years at Zonals and then two years at Intersectionals. Attended Advantage Tennis Academy in California her sophomore year of high school.
Finished third in the high school State Championships her senior year.

Louisiana top 10 junior; top 100 in the South. 2012 Catholic High graduate with honors; tennis team captain led Bears to 3rd place finish in state in 2012 playing number 1 singles and doubles. William is majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry at LSU with a desire for Medical School.
