Megan Falcon - USPTA Certified - meganfalcon@bocagerc.org
Megan is a former LSU number 1 singles and doubles player. She has a BA in International Studies & History and Minors in Business and Chinese Culture and Commerce. During her career at LSU she was on the Chancellor's List & Dean's List. Meg was a 3-time NCAA Singles All-American, 2007 SEC Player of the Year, 2-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, 2007 ITA Co-Player to Watch, 3-time First Team All-SEC, and a 2007 Honda Award Finalist! Her highest NCAA Singles ranking of was #1 and she also competed in the 2007 Pan American Games. In juniors her highest ITF rankings were 59 in Singles and 22 in Doubles. Meg was ranked #1 in the U.S. in U-16 and #5 in the 18's. Her Highest Pro Ranking was 331 in Singles! She was a 2002 Junior Wimbledon Doubles Quarterfinalist, a 2003 Junior Wimbledon Doubles Semifinalist and a 2003 Orange Bowl Doubles Quarterfinalist!
Tennis Program
Our tennis programs offer something for everyone! Bocage has a rich tradition of tennis history and has players adn activities on all levels. Since 1968 Bocage has hosted a National Senior USTA tournament every April featuring nationally ranked players from all over the U.S., teaching pros, and former players from the pro tour to compete for prize money and national ranking points in their age divisions. Every July we host a USTA Junior tournament that brings in kids from all over the south to compete in age groups from 10 to 18! Bocage is also home to more than 40 USTA league teams in fall, spring, and summer mixed doubles league teams. In 1971 Bocage had 4 of the top 10 players in the world Rod Laver, John Newcomb, Cliff Richey, and Roy Emerson come for a special $10,00 prize money tournament. Rod Laver beat Roy Emerson in the finals. John Newcomb was a 7 time grand slam champion and ranked number one in the world in 1971. He was also the Wimbledon champion just before coming to the Bocage event. Rod Laver was an 11 time Grand Slam champion. Cliff Richey had 45 tournament titles in his career and Roy Emerson was a 12 time Grand Slam champion! Bocage has a year round junior program that takes kids from 4 years old beginners to nationally ranked tournament players. Mixers, parent child tournaments, member-guest events, Bocage tennis has something for everyone! Our certified teaching staff provides all members with fun and challenging private lessons, clinics and team lessons that will improve your game and also give you a great workout!
Tournaments
The Bocage Racquet Club hosts two USTA sanctioned tournaments a year. In April the club hosts the Bocage Adult Clay Court Invitational, a USTA National Level II prize money event for men and women age 30 through 80 featuring singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. This tournament was started in 1968 and has attracted many top players from around the country as well as overseas. Each July the club hosts the Bocage Junior Open State Championships that is a Southern level 4 tournament and Louisiana level 2. Players age 10 through 18 compete in singles and doubles for points towards their southern and state rankings.

The mission of our Junior Program is to provide sound fundamental instruction to all levels of players in an atmosphere that challenges students physically and mentally! We want to allow each player to find their own best form within the frame work of proper stoke techniques. We endeavor to create an atmosphere that challenges players to continually raise the level of their game, set and achieve personal goals, and to develop an appreciation for a sport that they will be able to enjoy for a lifetime. Bocage has certified pros who have been involved in all levels of the game from beginner to professional. Our Junior Development program features levels from Pee Wees to a Tournament Group and many of our players go on to play college tennis. The students in our tournament group will receive coaching at designated tournaments throughout the year as part of the program.

Match Play for singles and doubles! Weekly or daily rates - June, July & first week in August! Pro Shop
All tennis players are required to wear 90% white clothing at Bocage. Our pro shop has a great selection of ladies, men's, and children's clothes. We are a full service pro shop and offer 24 hour racket restringing! Ask any of our staff about string type or tension, or the latest in rackets or shoes! Bocage members receive a 25% discount on clothing and 15% discount on racquets and shoes! We also have the latest racquets with plenty of demos to try. Members will find our prices rival any competition!
