Membership

    Bocage is a member owned club and membership includes the use of all facilities.

    All new members are approved by the Board of Directors and applicants must have two current member sponsors.

    Applicants must apply in writing. The Club membership ceiling is 630 stockholder members. During periods of full membership, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. For an application to be considered all fees must accompany the application.

    • Stock Holding Memberships
      • Family Membership

        This membership is available to legally married couples. The stockholder must be eighteen (18) years of age or more and have been approved for and accepted membership in the Club.

        Single Membership

        This membership is available to a single person, male or female, no less than thirty-five (35) years of age, unmarried or legally divorced, widowed, with no children, or with children over 23 years of age, has been approved for, and has accepted membership in the Club.

        Single Member with Dependents

        This membership is available for single persons, male or female, no less than thirty-five (35) years of age, unmarried, legally divorced, or widowed with unmarried dependent children less than 18 years of age or who have dependent children between the ages of 18 and 23 who are residing at home or are in college, have been approved for and have accepted membership in the Club.

    • Non Stock Memberships
      • Junior Membership

        This membership is available when the primary member is no less than eighteen (18) years of age and no older than thirty-four (34) has been approved for and has accepted membership in the Club. A Junior Member is entitled to all privileges in the Club except the right to vote or to hold office. A junior member is not required to purchase a share of stock, however upon either the primary member or spouse reaching the age of thirty five (35), the privileges of being a Junior Member shall terminate and said Junior Member shall be required to purchase a share of stock within a time frame and at the price set by the Board of Directors. If a Junior Family Member makes application to become a full Family Member, and if there is no waiting list, said Junior Member applicant shall have preference and priority over other applicants for membership. If the Family Membership is at maximum, then the Junior Membership will be extended until a full Family Membership becomes available.

        Junior Legacy Membership

        Dependents of family members that have been active members for a minimum of five years may apply for Junior Membership for a $500 Capital Improvement fee between the age of 25 and 34 if the family membership remains active. All other requirements of the Junior Membership apply.

        Retired Membership

        This membership is available for a stockholder member who has maintained their Class A or Class B membership without disruption for twenty (20) years, or who has been a Class A or Class B member for a total of twenty-five (25) years with a disruption, and in each case has reached the age of sixty-five (65) years, or who has been a Class A or B member for a total of twenty (20) years and has reached the age of seventy (70) years, and has elected to be granted retired membership upon application to the Board and surrender of their stock. The age requirement shall apply to the named stockholder or the spouse. A Retired Member is entitled to all privileges of the Club except the right to vote and to hold office.

        Non Resident Membership

        This membership is available if you reside beyond a forty (40) mile radius of the Club.

    • Preview Memberships (NEW)

      • A preview membership is available for new members who would like to try the club for a 4 month maximum in the months of January, February, March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. The fee for a Preview Membership are only the dues for those months that the applicant would like to try the club. At the end of the preview period, Preview Members will have preference to continue as full members by paying the applicable fees if spots are available.

    • Other Membership
      • Legacy Membership

        This membership is available to any family member of a stockholding member in good standing upon the stockholding member moving into the retired membership category of the club, resigning from the club, or passing away. The stockholding member shall be allowed to transfer their share of stock to the new legacy member without charge by executing a stock transfer form. The legacy member shall be required to pay all other initiation, capital improvement fees and dues, and must meet all other qualification requirements and approvals as provided for in these by-laws.
